New Fitness Resort Leads to Renaissance in Aliso Viejo

The new Renaissance ClubSport Aliso Viejo Hotel & Fitness Resort - the first full-service hotel in the city - has just opened its doors to the public. The project is located within Summit Office Campus, a Class A, 1.7 msf, mixed-use business campus developed by Parker Properties.

The unique boutique-style hotel and sports/fitness resort offers 174 guestrooms, including five suites, a 75k sf world-class fitness facility, 5.5k sf of flexible meeting space and a restaurant and lounge. The property is managed by Marriott for Leisure Sports Inc and R.D. Olsen.

Renaissance ClubSport is a world-class hotel and sports and fitness resort concept that appeals to both business and leisure travelers. The fitness club features a 12k sf fitness area as well as an outdoor aquatic area with two swimming pools plus a splash 'n play area for kids, a whirlpool and garden patio area for dining or special events.

"From the inception of Summit over a decade ago, we always envisioned some key amenities such as a fitness center and hotel. Redmond added that just previous to the Renaissance ClubSport completion, Parker Properties and RREEF, the common financial partner for the entire Summit project, completed two, four-story office buildings totaling 260k sf of space which are currently in the leasing stage. One of the buildings will include an upscale restaurant.

This newly finished phase, which is now going through the LEED certification process and is expected to earn a silver rating, offers a large inviting outdoor courtyard that includes three water features including a 40-foot high water wall, as well as a series of smaller outdoor areas that facilitate gathering spots. Some of the green features include: recycled water that irrigates project landscaping, waterless urinals, HVAC and refrigerant equipment with fewer harmful compounds to decrease ozone layer depletion, carbon dioxide monitoring systems, indoor air quality management plan, and green housekeeping and site maintenance programs.

Summit Office Campus is nearing completion of construction with more than 1.5 msf of space completed and one final eight-story office building in the planning stages. The 12-building campus is located on a terraced hillside at the center of the master-planned City of Aliso Viejo.

The project is home to many successful companies including Pacific Life Insurance Company's Life Insurance Division, Qlogic, Lennar Homes, Fluor, Buy.com, AJ Gallagher and Valeant Pharmaceuticals International. Located off the 73 Tollway, Summit Office Campus is convenient to the major Southern California freeways and is just minutes from other major business centers, John Wayne International Airport and the beaches.
